The Blessing In My Blog !

Image
May 2019 I decided I wanted to start a blog page. I had zero experience with blogging, but I knew this was something I wanted to do. I allowed the Holy Spirit to use me through blogging. I studied the word of God more then I have ever in my life. Week after week I sent my blogs out to close peers even the ones who weren't believers. Since starting my blog page one of my readers has given her life to Christ. She would send me messages saying how my blogs were changing her mindset. God gives us the ability to plant or water seeds. " The one who plants and the one who waters work together for the same purpose." 1 Corinthians 3:8.  I use my blog for one purpose. That purpose is to be a blessing to someone else so God can make a difference in their life as he has done in mine. I am okay with being the one who plants the seed.  I thank God for giving me the talent to write. God has given you a talent.  Use your talent to be a blessing to someone else. Be Blessed!

Blessed With A Good Teacher.

Image
We live in a culture filled with lies. This generation is not teachable. They want you to tell them what they want to hear as opposed to what they need to hear. This generation wants to hear what makes them feel good instead of what makes them better. They are comfortable living through the lies of the enemy because it puts them on a high horse. God is looking for good teachers in this season. He wants people who aren't afraid, to tell the truth, and live the truth; even if that means you have to be different.  "Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth."  2 Timothy 2:15. You will have friends who will ask you for your opinion and you can't be afraid to tell them the truth. You can not be afraid to teach the word of God. There's a blessing that comes with correction. Lead by example. Preach the good new despite how it looks and how ot...

The Blessing In Brokenness!

Image
We are all victims of brokenness. God has called the "broken".Through your brokenness, there is a triumph. We shall overcome by the blood of the lamb. Brokenness is designed to destroy your purpose, but with faith in God, your purpose cannot be destroyed. "Do not touch My anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm" Psalms 105:15. Your brokenness is apart of your testimony. Most people would say "you are damaged goods" because you have been shattered. "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves such as have a contrite spirit" Psalms 34:18.  When a believer is broken it causes you to seek the Lord harder than you ever have before. That is all God wants from us. I was in a relationship that I thought was heaven sent. Deep down inside I knew with all the toxic things we were going through that God did not place me in that relationship. The relationship broke me down and the only thing that could lift me back up was God. My broke...

The Blessing In An Accountability Partner!

Image
There are times we all slack off. I recall a time before I had completely given my life to Christ, I had fallen short. I was battling wanting to be like my friends and wanting to live for Christ. I had gone out to the club one night with my friend. The outfit I wore was inappropriate. I was uncomfortable in it, but I wanted to look like everyone else. I felt convicted.  After church that Sunday one of my fellow sisters pulled me aside and she said "Have you lost your mind? What's going on with you? I have seen the outfit you wore the other night in a picture that was posted on Facebook." At that moment I realize that I could no longer live a double life. I knew I had to choose who I wanted to serve. My decision was to live for Christ. I thank God for my accountability partner. Iron sharpens iron. My life changed for the better. I shared this to say it's okay to be an accountability partner. It's okay to check up on each other. We do not know what someone is b...

Blessed With The Armor Of God.

Image
The enemy has a job to do. His job is to kill, steal, and destroy. We learn that in John 10:10.  He strives to do all he can do to us. God gave us a gift and it's called the Armor of God. We must always use the armor of God when we are on the battlefield with the enemy. There were times I thought the devil had won. There were times I wanted to throw in the towel, but God said: “put on the armor and fight back in the Spirit.” It's time for you to put on the belt of truth. You know who you are in Christ. You no longer have to believe the lies of the enemy. Put on the breastplate of righteousness for God purchased you at a high price. Satan's attacks can't match our righteousness. Put on the shoes of peace, which come with the good news of the gospel. Hold up your shield of faith to block the enemy's attack. Put on the helmet of salvation, which is our impenetrable defense against satan's attacks. Finally, take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of Go...

The Blessing That Comes When It Rains.

Image
We use the expression "when it rains, it pours" quite often. Most of the time we use the expression when life becomes harder than usual or when we experience tribulation after tribulation. How many of you know that we need the rain to help our seeds grow? When life gets out of hand just know your seed is about to grow. "Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from the heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness" ACTS 14:17.  God provides the rain in your life so we can fill our hearts up with gladness. Our tribulations are apart of our testimonies. There's a blessing that comes at the end of the storm. The rain in your life isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes it is needed so that you can grow. Hold on tight and don't give up the fight; the sun will shine again. Be Blessed!

Blessed With A Vision.

Image
Sometimes we second guess the vision given to us from God. We box out the authority we have. We don't think we are capable of making the vision come to fruition. We ponder on the very thing God has given us to birth. We search for confirmation. We ask others for their opinion.  We look for reasons and excuses as to why we aren't qualified to get it done. We seek prophecies after prophecies before we finally decide to make a move. A lot of us are just like Gideon. Just as God helped Gideon overcome the very thing he told him to do, he can do the same for you. God is looking for people who trust him. He wants you to step back and allow him to guide you.  "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding." Proverb 3:5. If God gave you the vision then it shall come to fruition as long as you do the work.  There is no devil who can stop what God wants for us. Trust the process. Be Blessed!
