There's a blessing that comes with pain.

There are blessings that come with pain. I know you're reading this thinking "what blessing could possibly come from pain?" For my mothers out there, you've experienced contractions during childbirth, but after the contractions came a beautiful baby. What a blessing!! In my life, I have been a victim of situations most women my age would never survive. I trained my self to block out things that happened to me and to hide my emotions. I promised myself to never let anyone get too close to me. I feared being hurt. God gave me a dream to help me come to my senses. I would like to share it with you. In my dream I was walking with my friend and surrounding us was chaos. You can see people crying, buildings burning, and loud sirens. I could see my mother crying in the middle of the road and my family hovering over her. I asked "what's wrong?", but no one answered. It was like I wasn't even there. My friend then said, "turn around and look"....

The Blessing In Sowing A Seed.

There are blessings that come with sowing seeds. Some of us sow seeds tithing faithfully or even sowing seeds through our ministry work. We have all heard the phrase you "Reap what you sow!" That phrase isn't always meant to be taken in a negative connotation. When you sow a seed God will always bless you with a harvest. I would like to share with you how God blessed me for sowing seeds faithfully. God was lining things up for me and I didn't even know it. My commute to work has not been the greatest experience. Driving every day in traffic to work takes me almost 2 hours to get there and 2 hours to get home, for a drive that should typically take 25 minutes. I'm sure you are now imagining my frustration. Commuting to this job caused me to make a few sacrifices that I must admit I am not happy about. After praying I decided that it was time to make moves. On Monday June 3rd I decided to up date my resume. On Tuesday June 4th I applied for several positions. ...

Blessed to have God's grace.

God gives us grace even when we are undeserving of it. I can count numerous times God gave me grace even when I was living recklessly. I would like to share with you two situations where God gave me grace. In 2013 I was with my friends having a few drinks when I received a call from a guy I was dating off and on. He asked me to go grab food with him and I agreed to go. I got in the car with him and we drove about 3 minutes from my home before our car collided with another. I did not have a seat belt on, but by the grace of God I walked away with minor scratches, a few bruises, and a strained shoulder; when I should have been ejected from the vehicle. In 2016 I was changing my 8 days old baby's diaper when she sneezed and suddenly turned blue around the mouth, which let me know she could not breathe. I quickly instructed her dad to call 911 as I started to breathe into her mouth. My baby had regained color, but about a minute later she turned blue again. Starting the steps ove...

The Blessing In Little People.

There are so many blessings that come with having children. On December 13, 2016, God blessed me with a beautiful little girl. Although, my relationship with her father wasn't your "fairy tale story", there was a blessing in her birth. Having my daughter lead me back to Christ. I was not new to the Christian faith, but I chose not to live the life of a believer. On September 23, 2017, I decided to christen my daughter, which was the first step of how God used her life to draw me closer to him. From that day forward I made the decision to take my daughter to church every Sunday. Proverb 22:6 "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it". I stand strong on that scripture. My grandmother took me to church faithfully as a child. Even though I went astray, here I am in my late 20s proud to say I am a woman of God. Afraid that my daughter would make all the terrible decisions I made; I begin to change my lifestyle. I ...
