The Blessing in Withdrawing.

There are often times that we find ourselves stuck in situations we can’t get out of. It’s like we’re trying to find our way out of a maze. We search everywhere for answers and they can not be found. We’ll go to our friends, spouse, and/or family for help, but never do we think to turn to God first.

There are times I turn away from social media and I distant my self from people. It’s not because I’m angry or upset with anyone, but it’s simply because I need the guidance from the Lord. But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer.” Luke 5:16 NLT. This scripture taught me that sometimes we have to withdraw from our everyday life and dive deep into prayer. When you find yourself in the “wilderness” of life there’s only one thing to do and that’s pray. Seek God and allow him to lead the way.

It’s okay to separate from social media. Sometimes those things are distractions from what God is trying to do in your life. God is often trying to take us places , but we’re too distracted to allow him to take us. God will often provide the path out of the “wilderness “, but our judgement is being tainted by the things of this world. We don’t always need the social media memes to uplift us.  We don’t always need the advice of a friend. Yes God can send a word through anyone, but often times he just needs us to pray and hear directly from him.

Be Blessed!
