Blessed with a gentle God.

Image
Many times we feel like God is punishing us. We feel like temptations are always after us. We say things like ”If God has all power, why is He allowing these things?”  Many of us feel that God will not set us free from the things we need to let go of. We begin to question his abilities and authority. I’m here to tell you that we serve a gentle God. God will not enter where he is not welcome. You have to WANT to be free from sin. God can not deliver a person that does not want to be delivered. God is not a God of punishment. God is not of evil. “Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.” ‭‭James‬ ‭1:13‬‬‬. Learn to fight temptations in the spirit. Temptations are driven by your own desires. Give God permission and access to search your heart. Ask Him for help, but only if you really desire help. He is willing and capable, but only if you would allow him to do so. Be Blessed!

Blessed with a miracle.

Image
We live in a world where miracles and signs seem to be nonexistence. I want to have a transparent moment with you all. God has given me many miracles and signs to increase my faith and trust in him, but I neglected Him until now. In 2018 I experienced severe pelvic pain. Pain that would leave me crying some days. I went to my GYN and she ordered an ultrasound. My ultrasound revealed that I had fluid in my left fallopian tube, which was causing pain. My doctor explained that I would have the option of living with it or having it surgically removed. She said the chances of getting pregnant in the future would be slim. I opted to hold off on surgery. At 27 years old I was devastated and very afraid. I kept quiet about this. I had only informed a few people. I spent many days crying and praying that God would heal me. About 3 months later I asked for a repeat ultrasound and it was ordered. The day after the ultrasound I went back to my GYN for the results and my doctor said “Your ult...

Blessed with the presence of God.

Image
Did you know that once you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior that the Holy Spirit will dwell within you? Did you know that as children of the most high God you carry his presence with you at all times? God’s presence is what makes you different from others in the world. “How will anyone know that you look favorably on me—on me and on your people—if you don’t go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.”  Exodus‬ ‭33:16‬  When you carry the presence of God other people will notice something different about you. God gives us an assignment here on earth. It is your job to spread the gospel. It is your job to speak with truth and love. You do not have to be a pastor, teacher, apostle, or prophet. God just wants you to do His will. Many would say it’s hard, but in reality, it’s not. You carry the presence of God and all you have to do is ask him to give you the words to say. The Holy Spirit will provide you with the...

Blessed with endurance.

Image
Many of us are struggling in our walk with Christ. It's because we are carrying the weight of sins. We are struggling to let go of the very thing that is keeping us from growing closer to God. That thing may be alcohol, drugs, or even a toxic relationship. These things are stumbling blocks. I talk about protecting your witness often. As Christians, we are always being watched. People of the world are always waiting for us to trip up. At times it seems easier to keep sinning oppose to walking the straight and narrow path. How many of you know that God’s promises are much greater and bigger than the things the world has to offer? It's time to shift your walk. It's time to let go of the baggage. Some things may seem impossible to shake or give up, but God will give you the endurance to finish the race.  We have to hold on to his promises and his word. Believe it in your heart that God will always have your back. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd ...

The Blessing in Waiting.

Image
Many of us feel that our spiritual gift(s) are laying dormant because we’re not actively being used. Many people are being told “you're not ready” or “have patience, this isn’t your season”. It may not be your season. You may feel like you’re playing the waiting game. “No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” Matthew‬ ‭9:16-17‬  During this season of waiting, God is operating in the secret place. He may be removing fear and the nervousness you feel while speaking in large crowds of people. He may be giving you more wisdom while building your character. He can be removing the impurities from your heart. God may be correcting your motives for why you want to use your gift. Allow God full access to you wh...

Blessed with contentment.

Image
In today's world, everyone is striving to make it to the top; rather it's in school, at work, in church, even out on the street. We monitor the moves of others and wonder how can we get to where they are or how can we surpass them. I have found that when we are monitoring the work of others it is usually because we are not content  with where we are in life. Most people become envious of others. Usually, we are envious of the riches here on earth. Psalms 36:16 "A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked." The bible teaches us that it is better to be godly and have little than to be rich and evil. The bible also teaches us not to covet our neighbors. We have to learn to love God in all situations. We need to learn to be content  with what we have and with where we are. “I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with ple...

Blessed with persecution.

Image
Many of you are looking at the title wondering “how is persecution a blessing?” Let me help you see. Jesus was persecuted here on earth, but yet he is still the son of the most high God. He is still an almighty God. He died for you and I so that our sins will be forgiven. When we accept Christ, we become his children. He gives us the Holy Spirit, which dwells inside of us. As children of God we are often persecuted here on earth. When the enemy attacks you take it as a moment to build your character and strength. Persecution should be igniting the fire inside of you to rely on God and his ability to shift your situation.   “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and characte...
