There's a blessing that comes with pain.
There are blessings that come with pain. I know you're reading this thinking "what blessing could possibly come from pain?" For my mothers out there, you've experienced contractions during childbirth, but after the contractions came a beautiful baby. What a blessing!!
In my life, I have been a victim of situations most women my age would never survive. I trained my self to block out things that happened to me and to hide my emotions. I promised myself to never let anyone get too close to me. I feared being hurt. God gave me a dream to help me come to my senses. I would like to share it with you.
In my dream I was walking with my friend and surrounding us was chaos. You can see people crying, buildings burning, and loud sirens. I could see my mother crying in the middle of the road and my family hovering over her. I asked "what's wrong?", but no one answered. It was like I wasn't even there. My friend then said, "turn around and look". When I turned I could see green grass and butterflies all around us. There were people lined up on the grass. They were ascending through the clouds. I looked up as the clouds parted where I stood, and a hand reached for me, but then I woke up.
I was confused and I couldn't piece together why I had the dream. Only to hear from the Spirit later " I gave you that dream to show you; your life has been filled with chaos because you won't seek me first." I made some changes in my life. I had to seek God first to calm the storms in my life. I know my life won't be perfect, but trusting God makes it worth it!
Throughout my walk, with Christ, I have been told that "All your pain has a purpose." After joining Purity & Peace I realized that my pain is to help minister to other women. God has given me the strength to share my trials and tribulations with others. Through my sharing comes a blessing for someone else. My reward is knowing someone was able to find healing the same way I did. Find your blessing through your pain and remember your pain has a purpose.
Be Blessed!
