Blessed with witness protection.

The life of a Christian isn’t easy to live. We are constantly being watched and judged. We are not perfect people. We all fall short of his glory. “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Romans‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭NLT

As a believer, you have to be cautious of what you wear, what you say, and how you do things. I call it “Protecting your witness”. You have to protect your witness at all times. Someone is always watching you. As a believer, you can’t participate in the things of this world. “Don’t participate in the things these people do.” Ephesians‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I was recently in a situation that involves me protecting my witness. I have friends who still do things I used to do. I was tempted to drink alcohol. If you have been following my blog then you know I just posted I have been 7 months free of alcohol. Things were said to me that seems pretty convincing, but I did not give in. I’m not saying I don’t fall short of God’s glory, but I had to protect my witness. I can’t post about something and do the opposite of what I post.

I share this to say that just like others are watching you and so is God. They watched how I turned down what looked like fun; while still having fun. Someone may have thought to themselves “I don’t need alcohol anymore to have fun”. That day may have been their last time drinking. God gives honor to those who honor him. Through my commitment to God, I have been financially blessed, blessed with a husband, blessed with a new job, and many more blessings to come. Even though we are in the world we are not of this world. Stand strong and protect your witness!

Be Blessed!
